= DESCRIPTION =
You control a Striker team from one of the old tribes. Your objective is to get the ball, pass it, and shoot it into the arena vortex. As you try to score, you will be able to move your players, intercept opponent passes, and swipe the screen to make passes and shots. Pick up special abilities on the field to tackle, punch and blast whoever gets in your way! Score as much goals as you can and the Emperor will send you to death or Striker’s heaven. There are no fouls in the Soccer of the Gods, so unleash hell on the field!
= STORY =
On a distant planet, ancient tribes have settled their wars through an old brutal discipline, Soccer of the Gods. Once every ten years, tribes gather in the Striker Arena tournament to battle each other under the authority of their Emperor. Each tribe enlists the bravest and fiercest of their kin to fight for glory. These few are known as the Strikers. Their spilt blood and sweat in the arena feeds the Emperor’s ever growing lust for true transcendance.

The story mode has a descent length and it’s quiet challenging.
We can also have fun playing the Quick match mode and use all the technics learnt in the story mode.
This game is more deep than it looks like, you will have to complete a few challenges and quick match before getting familiar with all the technics and strategies !

I just downloaded this game on a whim. I havent played any soccer games since Super Side Kicks on Neo Geo! Striker Arenas art is pretty cool, cute and dark at the same time.
So I started with Story Mode which gives you a good understanding on how the game works. You really need to learn how to collect and use power-ups, intercept and header correctly in order to enjoy the game at its fullest. Some challenges are easy, others are actually pretty hard. There are three arenas, each with their own traps. My favorite is the ice world with the snow monster chasing you :)
So the game has no intruding virtual stick, which makes it very intuitive to swipe for passing and shooting. Its really fun finding out tactics through positioning and using the wall to outsmart your opponents. Blowing up gladiators with blast items is also really awesome fun!!
The story-mode actually takes quite a while to finish and you also can play quick matches with friends on the same iPhone... I wish I had an iPad! In a nutshell, best soccer/fantasy game I have played in a loooong time. You wont regret buying it!

I like the game, cute and fun, a match is short enough to play while commuting. Reminds me of Speedball a bit :)

Loving the cubic viking characters! Such an original idea to play a classic sports game in a beautiful fantasy setting. I really like that you can play with a friend on the same device! Works so smoothly on my iPhone too. Highly recommend!!! :)
Good game, cute universe that features bloody soccer in a phantasy themed world with an actualised retro feeling, nice playability adapted to a portable device with simple gestures. Very interesting mix of turn based and real time action that makes it possible (and pretty fun) to play with a friend in a single device.
I love that finally i can use my ipad to play a football match to set who is going to wash the dishes this afternoon :)
It took me a while to get the hung of it, but after playing some challenges in story mode I’m beginning to appreciate some depth over the surface.
On my wish list, even if the game contains different arenas with different events and rules, and different team types, I really would like the game to focus more on some sort of rpg stats on my players, and to be able to feel some evolution in my team. I really think the game could get even better with a few tweaks on this field.
